Hello to all those that can't wait to see more of this amazing world. I know that the last year and a half has been a challenge for many of us. I also know that many of you are starting to get excited about traveling again. Many of you are choosing to travel in our own country and see those places that you always wanted to see. Some of you are venturing out and getting set up to visit places near our borders. A few are making those bucket list plans that the time you have available to you dictates that going now is the best decision that you can make. Wherever you choose to travel, your time is extremely valuable and spending it together with family and friends is often more important than where you spend that time. Remember also the basic rule of supply and demand. As the demand increases prices start to increase. I witnessed that last summer trying to book beach houses for those that were more than ready for some time away. It was challenging to find places for people at a price they felt comfortable with. In today's environment it is mandatory that you book six to 12 months ahead of your vacation date. Some cruise lines are starting to book into 2023 and 2024.
Since this is my very first blog post I would love to hear stories about any trips you might have already taken and where you would recommend visiting locally and abroad. I will share about a trip my wife and I took to Freeport, Grand Bahama this past August. It was only a 2 night cruise which is perfect for a 3 day weekend trip. I was also able to book a fishing trip with a local guide in Freeport that only costs $75 per person(2 person minimum). It was the best deal I have seen in any port in the Caribbean. It was a 4 hour trip using light tackle on close-in reefs. The catch is always different and lots of fun!
